First time hiring a DJ? You are not alone! Sounds Good Entertainment has the answers you need.
Q: What does a DJ Do for an event? Do they just play music for dancing?
A: Your DJ is not just a jukebox. A wedding/event DJ works with your dynamic schedule to make transitions with music, announcements, and introductions, provide sound reinforcement for speeches, toasts, and ceremonies, and of course, play the right song at the right time to bring the party to life!
Q: Do you have a lot of variety of music you can play?
A: Absolutely! For example, we can go from oldies to club hits, switch it up with a country line dance, back to current hits, then move through 80s and 90s old school Hip Hop… all in one night. We’ve got the knowledge and selection to get a diverse party dancing and loving it!
Q: I see a lot of DJs adverting similar looking services. How do I choose? –
- First, know who you are getting. Some companies randomly assign you a DJ that may not be who you had in mind.
- Then determine how experienced the DJ is for your event. Beware of the inexperienced DJ that offers bargain prices but disappointing service.
- And last but not least, know the final cost. There is no reason to spend thousands of dollars to get a great DJ!
Q: Sounds Good Entertainment offers “Event Coordination” What does that mean?
A: An event coordinator can help alleviate stress by planning, organizing, and executing the many details for a smooth and successful event. This is a separate service for an additional fee. Contact us for availability if interested.
Q: How much does a DJ normally cost?
A: A DJ can cost from a few hundred to thousands of dollars, but it’s experience and reputation you should be comparing. Choosing a DJ based on price alone can be like buying the cheapest car- the reliability and presentability can be questionable at best. Choosing Sounds Good Entertainment will give you reliably professional service every time!
